Article posted on Gizmodo explaining SLR lenses and why they’re more important than the camera.  I definitely agree that they’re more important than the camera but I’d take it one step further and say the actual person is more important to the quality of the final image than the lens or the camera (the camera itself is almost negligible if you know how to use what you have).

Anywho… interesting read.

www.wikihow.com had this article posted on how to de-haze a photo using Gimp (though the steps it gives would work in Photoshop as well).

Got a question from Pa Hahn and thought it might be post-worthy. 

There are definitely ideal conditions to shoot outdoors but sometimes you’re plain screwed and have to make the best of what you have.  If that means you’re shooting on a hazy / foggy day you can correct some of that in post-processing.  Click the jump for the rest of the story…

I’m a huge podcast addict and Cnet.com just unveiled a photography podcast called Indecent Exposure.  I haven’t listened to it yet so if it sucks, that’s my disclaimer.

In other news I’m heading to NYC this Saturday and then making a trip back to Fort Myers Florida next week.  First time back since I left a few years ago so hopefully I’ll come back with loads of new pics.

Ok… gotta run cuz the Lost season finale is about to start.  Man needs his priorities.
